  11. KBBS is a software  application  that  turns  your computer into
  12. your  very  own  communications  center.  You can run a complete,
  13. automated  BBS,  or  just  run KBBS now and then so that you can
  14. communicate with friends by modem as the need arises.  You become
  15. the HOST,  allowing callers to access your computer with most any
  16. kind of "terminal" software from most any brand of computer.

  18. "Keeping It Simple" is  why  KBBS is favored over many other BBS
  19. software  packages.  It's easy for callers to use.  It's easy for
  20. sysops to setup  and  maintain.   Most  operations are automated.
  21. You  need  not  be  a  programmer  to  take advantage of advanced
  22. features.  Sysops who have extensive DOS knowledge appreciate the
  23. flexible options that are available.

  25. You can customize KBBS to give it the "look" and "feel" that you
  26. want.  Some "key" commands  are fixed, but the majority are up to
  27. you.  The  number  of  forums and files areas are limited only by
  28. the amount of disk space you have.  Most  every  area permits you
  29. to  assign  a level of "security" so that you can offer unlimited
  30. access to some,  provide limited access to others,  and limit all
  31. access to new callers.  You can do most system maintenance from a
  32. remote location, or allow an assistant sysop to help.

  34. KBBS is "bullet proof."  For almost four years,  no one has been
  35. able to break in,  or crash the system.   Files are operated in a
  36. way that eliminates corruption.   There is never a problem due to
  37. callers who hangup or call with incorrect modem setup.  All BBS's
  38. occasionally  get those who accidentally call by a "voice" phone,
  39. but this is not a problem either.

  41. KBBS is fast and efficient.   It doesn't  take up a lot of space
  42. on your hard drive. It can run as a "background task" in Windows.
  43. KBBS runs on most any DOS based machine, including  older PC, XT,
  44. and 80286 systems, including the 386SX/DX, 486, and the Pentium.

  47. registered sysops receive interim upgrades  and technical support
  48. free. Major upgrades are provided at a reduced price to those who
